About the Restaurant: AP Shaw is a warm and welcoming upscale casual Italian American spot in the heart of Shaw. As part of the acclaimed group that includes The Red Hen, Boundary Stone, and Aventino, we pride ourselves on providing sincere, and welcoming service to our guests in a fun and energetic atmosphere.Job Description: We are seeking experienced servers to join our team. All employees are responsible for knowing the menu, food, cocktails (classics and original signature), wine, and beer to help our guests. You will also need to be able to greet tables promptly, use the Toast POS, correctly enter orders (marking any dietary restrictions or allergies) and side work (prepping the restaurant for service and leaving it clean and ready to go for the next shift).Responsibilities:Be knowledgeable about the food/drink menu and be prepared to help guests with any questions/requestsCreate and maintain an AUTHENTICALLY welcoming and energetic atmosphereMaintain cleanliness and organizationManage inventory and restock supplies as neededEnsure accuracy of orders and deliver them in a timely mannerUphold all state and local laws and regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beveragesWork closely with other members of the restaurant team to ensure exceptional service for our guestsRequirements:Some serving is expected, but training will be providedBasic knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, and beer (and the ability and desire to learn more)Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentTeam focused.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and team work (we are a pooled house)Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededFamiliarity with state and local laws and regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beveragesAbility to lift and carry up to30 pounds and stand for extended periods of timeBe at least 21 years of age.Benefits:Competitive hourly wage plus tipsOpportunities for career growth and advancementEmployee discounts on food and beverages at our location and our sister locationsFlexible schedulingIf you are passionate about providing exceptional service and creating unforgettable experiences, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
